Troubleshooting 101
1. Issues Logging Into PLT4M:
If you seeing "Wrong Username/Password" when logging in, you are entering either an incorrect email or password. Try to Reset your Password. → Here’s how to reset a password
This will send a password reset link to the email associated with that students PLT4M account. There are a few issues you may need to troubleshoot from here:
A) Email doesn't get delivered
Solution: Check Spam. If it is not in spam or inbox, your teacher may need to have the school IT department whitelist our email domains. Share this article with your teacher or coach.
B) "Email not recognized" message when email is entered
Solution: This means you likely created your PLT4M account using an incorrect email. This can happen if there was a typo during sign-up, or if you had a space before or after. As your Teacher/Coach, to go to their staff account, access the Users list to verify you email. If it is wrong, have them update it.
C) "It is bringing me to a page and asking for my current password"
Once you get the email to reset your password, you will need to click the link and change it on the PLT4M website. If your device has saved your login credentials it will log you in rather than allowing you to change the password. If this happens, be sure to log out, THEN click the link in the email.
D) Student has duplicate accounts
Sometimes, when students encounter login issues, they end up creating a second account using the Join Code to get back into the site—not realizing they’ve actually created a duplicate account for themselves. This will become an issue when viewing their log history, as they’ll have two accounts with two separate log histories.
Solution: Have your teacher or coach delete the account you no longer need.
2. Videos Not Playing
Why are videos showing as “Restricted”?
Report this issue to your teacher or coach, as they will need the school to Whitelist our YouTube channel.
3. Account Settings for Data Input
Why can’t I log test results?
The ability to enter test results into PLT4M as a student is controlled by the account admin. See here for more.
4. Other Considerations
Always make sure you’re operating on the latest version of the PLT4M app, as outdated versions can lead to issues.
